Tandridge block disabled access

The club would like to apologise to all our disabled anglers who are finding access to Wilderness Main and Middle lakes more difficult than it should be. Tandridge District Council and some local Dormansland residents are doing all they can to stop the improved disabled access created as part of the works undertaken by Network Rail a couple of years back. Rather than support the idea of improved car parking for our disabled anglers, Tandridge and some Dormansland residents are actively trying to get Network Rail to dig up all the hard standing areas they put in place and which benefit our anglers. This is all completely mad because two years ago this same work was approved by the fickle Tandridge Planners! Not only does this impact on our disabled anglers access, but any works to remove all this infrastructure will also impede a Natural England dormouse planting scheme …. and of course, next time Network Rail need to access the railway and viaduct to do works , there will be the need to replace the infrastructure again with all the upheaval and disturbance that creates. Madness! Once again we apologise for the inconvenience but are doing what we can to resolve this situation.
