Isfield joins Sussex Winter League
Isfield has a proud tradition of match fishing and back in the 1970’s and 80’s was a regular finalist in the Angling Times Winter League, winning the final in 1979 against the countries best teams. Its been a long time since Isfield last competed in a winter league, but things are about to change with the club joining the popular Sussex Winter League with the likes of Seaford, Haywards Heath and Hassocks. There is no national final to aim for, but the club looks forward to a fun and enjoyable series with hopefully the odd win here and there. The league kicks off in September and takes in seven matches on waters across Sussex, including our own Wilderness lakes, finishing in early December.
