What the small stunted carp like fish are that are found in Highlands Lake? We have had both the Environment Agency and a Professor of Ecosystems who has written many a book on fish look at what these fish might be. Turns out they are a non-native species called Nigorobuna, the picture shows how they can be confused with other similar species. Very importantly as they are non-native we are not able to move fish from Highlands as they need to be contained in that pond.
